Community Connectors

The Community Connectors meetings are an opportunity for local residents to meet up and gain understanding of what’s happening on the “doorstep”, raise local issues, for example fly tipping, antisocial behaviour and when possible help each other out  as well as promote local events; share equipment; volunteers; share top tips; etc.  Meetings are friendly and informal and include representatives from Gentoo, the Police and the local council and groups, etc.

The meetings are open to all local residents and community groups to find out what’s going on in the area. The meetings are held every 5 weeks on a Thursday from 12:00pm until 1:00pm in either the downstairs hall or multi-purpose room of Ryhope Community Centre.

Dates may vary especially in holiday times, please check here and/or our Facebook page [https:www.facebook.com/RyhopeCommunityCentre] for confirmed dates.

Why not pop along and see what it’s all about?  We’d love to see you.

To be advised

Care of the environment is always part of meeting - e.g. fly tipping; dog fouling, etc., all of which are increasing in incidents.  Anyone aware of fly tipping (which includes the disposal of rubbish and household items onto paths, roads or grassed areas by householders who've not arranged with the Council to collect) please report to Sunderland City Council on 0191 520 5555 or via the 101 service as soon as possible.
